Potential Penalties for an Underage DUI Conviction

The penalties for a DUI conviction can be severe. If you are convicted of a DUI, you can face license suspension, fines, community service, and jail or prison time. You may also be required to attend DUI school and substance abuse programs.

For a first-time underage DUI, you could face:

• Misdemeanor charges
• Fines of $300 to $1,000
• 24 hours to a full year in jail
• At least 20 hours of community service

For a second underage DUI, you could face:

• Fines of $60 to $1,000
• 72 hours to a full year in jail
• At least 30 days of community service

For a third underage DUI, you could face:
