General Civil Litigation Associate
Miles Hansford, LLC is a growing, full-service law firm with offices in Forsyth and North Fulton counties, that is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join the firm at its main office in Cumming.
We are looking to add an associate attorney to our talented litigation team who can work in a fast-paced environment, is organized, detail-oriented and able to think on their feet. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of litigation experience but the firm will consider recent graduates. The position will handle cases involving family law, commercial matters, and probate matters. Substantive knowledge of these areas is not a pre-requisite for the position. Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, very strong legal research, writing and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook required. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a lawyer who wishes to establish themselves over the long term and grow as a professional.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on current caselaw
- Draft pleadings, motions and briefs
- Propound and respond to discovery requests
- Courtroom appearances – local and appellate
- Direct client contact with consultations, updates and strategy meetings
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate degree in law from accredited universities
- Current admission to the State Bar of Georgia
- 2-3 years’ experience in civil litigation is ideal but will consider recent graduates
- Self-starter
- Excellent oral, interpersonal, and writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Administrative Assistant
Miles Hansford, LLC is a growing, full-service law firm in Forsyth and N. Fulton counties, seeking an administrative assistant to join the firm at the main office in Cumming, Georgia.
We are looking for an organized professional candidate to support our attorneys and practice managers with their active cases and client matters. This position will assist attorneys practicing in multiple areas of law.
Responsibilities:
- Regular interaction with active clients via phone and email
- Manage the screening of prospective clients
- Maintain organized files (physical files and digital)
- Organize and prepare documents and materials for court dates, hearings, and meetings
- Maintain calendars and assist with the scheduling of attorney commitments
- Assist with progression of tasks on client matters
- Open/close client files including both paper and digital
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and other law firms
- Perform research as required
- Provide administrative support to multiple attorneys and practice managers
- Navigate and utilize State and Federal e-filing systems and procedures
- Prepare large mailings

Education:
